| The Godmakers |
This book started out with some interesting chapters, but towards the end when it should have been getting really interesting, it just got a little heavy. I think I'll have to go back and re-read the last couple of chapters to try and get my head around it.

| Red Dragon |
Just finished this last night. I've not read any of the Hannibal Lecter books, but I have seen the movies. Nice to read the book that (I think?) started it all. From memory, the book is almost totally different to the Movie, which is not abnormal ;-? Quite a good read, fairly predictable comeback style ending though. Now to get the others |

| Midnight's Daughter |
On the way to Drupalcon, I needed a book to read, and decided to pick one up at the Airport store, rather than re-read something I already had. I grabbed this one based on the tagline on cover - "It takes a special sort of girl to take on Dracula", and a quick read of the back, which satisfied me it should be a good read. It was quite good, very like the Anita Blake novels from Laurell K Hamilton, which I enjoyed as well. |

| The Dead Zone |
Quite a good read, not a horror book at all. |
February 2009 | Stephen King |
| The stand |
A great read from Stephen King as usual, particularly moving was the loyalty of the dog i thought ;-) |
January 2009 | Stephen King |
| Jericho Falls |
Sort of like the "outbreak" movie/book from a few years ago, except covered from the angle of people within the town, instead of the agent running the show. Not a bad read. Quite enjoyable. |
November 2008 | Christopher Hyde |
| Earthsea Trilogy |
Three seperate but intertwined stories in this entertaining paperback. Very enjoyable |
October 2008 | Ursula Le Guin |
| The Gameplayers of Zan |
The first part of this book has to be one of the hardest reads i've ever bothered to finish off, but I could sense that it all must be going somewhere. With a different race of human like beings, and the associated language and culture covered very thoroughly. In the end, there was a point, and I didn't mind the book at all, but i'd have a hard time recommending it, as I found it very tough going. |
