| A Lick of Frost |
The second of the Merry Gentry adventures, another excellent read.

| A Kiss of shadows |
Finally got the first of the Merry Gentry novels, after reading one of the middle ones when flying across to DC last year. She has a great take on a world where Faerie and Human and others co-exist sort of peacefully. It gets quitet raunchy in the later novels, but this first one is sort of clean ;-) Great fun! |

| The Twilight of Briareus |
Intriguing story about the apparent takeover of the human race by a seemingly benevolent Alien power. Focuses very much on the human relationships, there are no Aliens at all in the book, and in fact its never actually revealed who the Bad/Good guys are. I wasn't a huge fan of this book, but there are some interesting concepts/ideas, and i'm sure it subconsciously pointed towards my next entries. |

One of the SF greats addresses the Asteroid/Earth encounter. As always, and excellent read. |

| Thrillers and More Thrillers |
Some great tales in this mixed collection selected by Robert Arthur. I was a little sceptical that they'd be dated, as the book a 1968 vintage, but they've held the test of time well |

I'm not usually a fan of "Alternate history" style novels, but this one had enough of its own story to keep me interested. |

| Soldier, ask not |
I picked up this book cheap, and it was quite reasonable, but it is the second in a trilogy. It was enough of a teaser to make me want to get the rest and read the lot of them. I'm trying to figure where else I've read about the Dorsai and some of the other things in the book. It'll come to me oneday. |
